About the Class
A hands on class teaching you how to make (non-alcoholic) Jamaican Ginger Beer and Kombucha. Both of Mary’s elixirs are made from scratch with only the
freshest ingredients - nothing artificial. Each participant will leave with a
quart of Ginger Beer and a quart of Kombucha starter, along with
detailed written instructions.

SUPPLIES: Apron + Containers - a kombucha jar (large glass jar with a spigot) or 2 quart jars.
About the Instructor
Mary Krystinak is an avid cook, teacher, gardener, and outdoors woman who enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. She is committed to raising environmental awareness throughout the community and leading conservation initiatives in the workplace.
Mary teaches sustainable living and traditional homemaking skills through her business Mary’s Wholesome Living, Ltd, located in West Chicago. Classes are currently being offered at Whole Foods Naperville, Heritage Prairie Farm, and SAAGE Culinary Studio. Mary is also available to teach at local community events.
Canning, pickling, preserving, fermentation are just a few of the food preservation methods taught by Mary in an engaging, hands-on, friendly manner. Teaching folks to prepare healthy foods in simple and straight forward ways is her specialty.
