About the Class
It’s a beautiful summer evening. Everyone wants to be outside – no time for dinner, but you do not want fast food again. Here is simple and healthy solution! We will make 3 nutritious vegetable soups that will pair nicely with 3 fresh salads.
The soups will start with a base and then have interchangeable additions for a different taste every time. The salads will be one pasta, one fresh greens and fruit, and one legumes and grains.
Cooking techniques, tips, and shortcuts will be learned. Healthy wholesome meals will be created and you will leave with some fresh ideas for your weeknight meals.

About the Instructor
Mary Krystinak is an avid cook, teacher, gardener, and outdoors woman who enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. She is committed to raising environmental awareness throughout the community and leading conservation initiatives in the workplace.
Mary teaches sustainable living and traditional homemaking skills through her business Mary’s Wholesome Living, Ltd, located in West Chicago. Classes are currently being offered at Whole Foods Naperville, Heritage Prairie Farm, and SAAGE Culinary Studio. Mary is also available to teach at local community events.
Canning, pickling, preserving, fermentation are just a few of the food preservation methods taught by Mary in an engaging, hands-on, friendly manner. Teaching folks to prepare healthy foods in simple and straight forward ways is her specialty.
